Sa Die de sa Sardigna is a special day to celebrate Sardinian culture and history.

We accompany our students as they grow up, educating them so that they feel at ease in the world at an international level. We also pay particular attention to Sardinian culture, so that they also know how to fully understand what surrounds them in everyday life on this beautiful island.

Our educational offer, in fact, is extensive and often looks into some aspects of our local culture throughout the year.

It is through history that our exploration begins, also thanks to events like Monumenti Aperti, which have helped children to understand the central icons of Sardinian culture, such as the Mother Goddess, the Nuragic culture or the Giants of Monte Prama. The beautiful bronzes let us see the humanity and devotion of our ancestors, such as "The mother of the murdered", known as the famous "Sardinian Pietà", and they highlight their skill and technical ability.

But it is mostly in art that the pupils of Primary and Secondary were able to explore the artistic techniques and explain the statues of Francesco Ciusa, admired in the Municipal Gallery, and explore the web of Maria Lai's works. In Nuoro, in the Illisso space, we could admire a concentration of beauty: Ciusa, Tavolara, Nivola.

Therefore, our cultural itinerary takes us not only to distant places such as Oxford, Glasgow, Geneva or Le Pradet, but also lets us discover Nuoro, defined as "the Athens of Sardinia", the Nuragic Palace of Barumini, the sacred well of Santa Vittoria and many other places rich with Sardinian history.

As for the little ones, however, the journey of discovery of Sardinian culture begins in the classroom with small projects, such as the one carried out this year in the Reception class on the Domus de Janas, enriched by the contribution of the grandparents of some children, who told them about ancient traditional games and what it was like to be a child in Sardinia a long time ago.

So the international and the local worlds meet , and both are important in the educational path created by Chatterbox for its children.
